Free and Real-Money Roulette

The software roulette wheel is the place to practise before you stake real rand: spin it in free demo to learn the bet types, then switch to real money at your own pace, as quickly or slowly as you like. You place chips on a numbered layout, the wheel and ball settle on one number, and winning bets are paid at fixed odds. The European single-zero wheel is the better-value layout, since the lone zero is the only pocket that gives the house its edge.

Inside betsSingle number pays 35 to 1, plus splits and corners
Outside betsRed/black, odd/even, dozens and columns near even money

Inside bets and outside bets

Bets fall into two groups. Inside bets sit on individual numbers or small groups: a single number, called a straight up, pays 35 to 1, while splits, corners and other combinations pay less but cover more of the layout. Outside bets cover large blocks and sit closer to even money. Red or black, odd or even, and the high or low halves pay even money, while the dozens and columns each cover a third of the numbers. Inside bets risk more for a bigger return; outside bets win more often for less.

Where the house edge comes from

On a single-zero wheel there are 37 pockets but the payouts are set as though there were 36. That one extra pocket, the green zero, is the whole source of the house edge, and it applies evenly across every bet on the table. There is no bet or pattern that removes it, which is why no roulette system can beat the game over time. Sticking to the single-zero layout simply keeps that edge as low as the game allows.

Practise free or play a live dealer

The software wheel is instant and solo, ideal for free practice with no waiting between rounds while you learn the layout. When you would rather watch a real wheel spun by a host, with other players and a live feed, that sits in the live roulette room. The bets, the layout and the 35 to 1 single-number payout work the same way in both, so the free table is where to find your feet before you play live.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the single-zero wheel better value?

A European single-zero wheel has one green pocket rather than two. Fewer non-paying pockets means a lower house edge, so the single-zero layout gives you better value than a double-zero wheel.

What does a single number pay?

A straight-up bet on one number pays 35 to 1. Splits, corners and other inside bets pay less because they cover more numbers, while outside bets like red or black sit closer to even money.

Can a betting system beat roulette?

No. The single zero gives the house its edge on every bet equally, and no staking pattern changes that. Systems can shape how your stakes rise and fall, but they cannot beat the game over time.

How does RNG roulette differ from live roulette?

RNG roulette is software-spun, solo and instant, so you set the pace. Live roulette is streamed with a real wheel and a human host at a shared table. The bets and payouts are identical.
