How to Deposit with SnapScan
Depositing with SnapScan means scanning a QR code instead of typing card numbers at the cashier. The steps are quick, and most payments clear in about 30 seconds. If you bank with FNB, you can scan the same kind of code using Scan to Pay in the FNB app instead. Here is how both work.
Deposit with the SnapScan app
You load up to three South African debit or credit cards into SnapScan once, then pay from one of them each time without entering card details at the betting site.
- Open the SnapScan app on your phone.
- At the cashier, choose SnapScan and have the QR code ready.
- Scan the QR code with the app.
- Check the amount shown matches what you want to deposit.
- Confirm the payment.
Most payments clear within about 30 seconds, and the funds show in your CasinOnline balance once confirmed.
Scan to Pay in the FNB app
FNB's Scan to Pay is an in-app QR feature, so you do not need a separate app. The card you use must have online purchases enabled, which is the most common thing that trips up a scan.
- Log in to the FNB app.
- Open Scan to Pay.
- Scan the QR code shown at the cashier, or type the number beneath it.
- Choose the card you want to pay with.
- Confirm.
Capitec's app can also scan SnapScan and Zapper codes. Whatever you use, scan with the app the code is built for. If you would rather not scan at all, instant EFT and card transfer are alternatives.
