Why a SnapScan Deposit Fails

A SnapScan deposit at CasinOnline usually fails for one of three reasons: you scanned with the wrong app, the underlying card hit a bank gambling block, or online purchases are switched off on the card. Each has a clear fix. Here is what to check before you try again.

Wrong app or online purchases off

QR apps are not always interchangeable. A SnapScan code is meant to be scanned with SnapScan; cross-scanning with a different app, such as Zapper or a bank app that does not support that code, can fail. Use the app the cashier's code is built for.

If you are paying through a bank app's Scan to Pay, the card you choose must have online purchases enabled. That is the single most common cause of a failed scan. Switch online purchases on in your banking app's card settings, then scan again.

Bank gambling block on the card

Paying through SnapScan does not bypass your card's rules. The underlying card can still hit a bank gambling block, the same way a direct card deposit would. If your scan is declined and the app or settings look correct, check whether your bank has blocked gambling transactions on that card.

You can adjust this in your banking app's card settings where available, or switch to instant EFT, which does not run through the card in the same way. A card transfer is another route if the block only affects one card.

Frequently asked questions

Why was my SnapScan deposit declined?

Most often it is the wrong app for the QR code, a bank gambling block on the underlying card, or online purchases switched off on the card you chose.

Does SnapScan get around a bank gambling block?

No. The underlying card still follows your bank's rules, so a gambling block can decline the payment. Check your card settings or use instant EFT instead.
