UK Lotto Two-Round Draw

From June 2026 the UK National Lottery changed how UK Lotto is drawn: every draw now runs two completely independent rounds. Here is what the change means and how it affects following the draw.

How the two rounds work

Each UK Lotto draw now has a Round 1 and a Round 2. Round 1 draws six numbers and a bonus ball; Round 2 then draws a fresh six numbers and bonus ball from a separate machine. In the UK game the same ticket numbers are entered into both rounds, which improves the chance of landing a prize tier across the night. The two rounds are completely independent — the numbers in one have no bearing on the other, and both are equally random.

What it means when you bet

When you bet on UK Lotto through Lucky Numbers, you are placing a fixed-odds bet on the drawn numbers, and it settles against the official result. The two-round format is part of how the official draw now works, so there are two sets of numbers each night to follow. See the UK Lotto guide for the full picture, or UK Lotto results for the latest numbers from each round.
