Bet on Baccarat

Bet on Baccarat is the simplest table game in the Betgames studio. A live dealer plays out a hand of baccarat and you back one of three outcomes — the Player, the Banker or the Tie. Side bets on pairs and on a natural win give the round a little more to aim at, but the core decision is the one baccarat has always been built on: which side finishes closer to nine.

How the Dealer Plays It Out

In Bet on Baccarat a live dealer plays a full hand and you simply back the outcome. Before any cards are drawn you choose Player, Banker or Tie. The dealer then deals to both the Player and Banker positions and follows fixed drawing rules to decide whether a third card is needed. There are no choices for you to make once the bet is down, and no choices for the dealer either, since the rules dictate every draw. The hand closest to a total of nine wins, and the round settles. It is one of the most hands-off games on the table.

The Three Bets and Their Prices

Three outcomes carry the game. The Banker bet wins most often, so it usually carries a small commission on a win to balance that edge. The Player bet pays clean even money with no commission taken. The Tie lands least often of the three, which is why it pays the most when it comes in. Around these sit side bets on pairs and on a natural win, where the first two cards make eight or nine. The price on each market follows how often it occurs, a pattern explained further on our Odds Explained page.

How It Fits Your Play

Bet on Baccarat suits you if you want a calm game with a short list of clear choices and nothing to manage once the cards are out. Many players favour Banker for how often it wins, and accept the small commission as the trade-off, while the Player bet appeals for paying even money cleanly. The Tie and the side bets offer bigger prices but land less often, so they work best as occasional additions rather than the core of a session. If you enjoy fast, fixed-rule formats, it pairs naturally with Lucky 7. The drawing rules are fixed, so no result is ever guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions

What are the three main bets?

Player, Banker and Tie. You back one of the three before the dealer plays out the hand, and the outcome closest to a total of nine decides the winners.

Why does the Banker bet carry a commission?

The Banker bet wins most often of the three, so a small commission is usually taken on a Banker win to balance that. The Player bet pays clean even money with no commission.

Why does the Tie pay the most?

The Tie lands least often of the three outcomes, so it carries the highest price and pays the most when it comes in.

Do I make any decisions during the hand?

No. Once you have placed your bet, the dealer follows fixed drawing rules to complete the hand. Neither you nor the dealer chooses whether a third card is drawn.

What are the side bets?

There are side bets on pairs and on a natural win, where the first two cards dealt to a position make a total of eight or nine.
